We were very pleased that Nimrod caught Gill Barr's eye - he shows great
promise for showing in 2011 as a shearling - but as we all know, rams lambs
either develop well over the winter, or not at all, so we'll see. Nimrod's dam is
a Gracewood ewe and the sire is Hambleton Mawe Hercules who was
Ryeland Breed Champion at the Great Yorkshire Show 2007. Nimrod also has
the best fleece we have ever bred.

This was only our second show (ever..) and gave us great confidence that what we think is a good sheep 'true to type' is on the right lines. Every judge thinks differently of course, but we were most pleased with the second place for Gracewood Katie as she is exactly the kind of ewe we are trying to breed consistently.
